Our Incredible Bed and Breakfast

The Galloway House was started in 1899 and finished in 1900 when Tom and Mary Galloway moved into the home. For many years it was the largest home in Idaho at 5000 square feet plus another 2000 ft of attic where the Galloways held dances. The home is a late Queen Anne design furnished with Mission style furniture which was becoming prominant at the time of the construction. The home is built of triple brick construction and the walls are 18 inches thick. As guests enter the front door they are greeted by a large, open staircase. At the top of the stairs is a milled ballestrade. The wood was purchased from a millworks in Chicago and shipped to Idaho for the princely sum of $200 even though Mrs. Galloway felt her husband was being extravagant for the times. The home cost $5,000 to build and the money came from the sale of 800 head of horses. The home is 12 spacious rooms lending itself to the comfort of each guest.
